**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are looking for a reliable, customer friendly and fast learning person to join our wider credit control team. Through strong attention to detail, the Credit Control Officer role will ensure the daily collections, repayment plans and credit limits fall within accordance with key performance indicators nationally.

This role would suit someone with high attention to detail who enjoys investigating and reconciling accounts and amounts. This role will also have a mix of internal and external correspondence. The wider Shared Services team is split up to support various divisions of the business in line with our regular sales/auctions nationally.

**Specifically, the role involves**:

- Responding professionally to vendor enquiries relating to the receipt or allocation of debtor invoice payments
- Overseeing the debtors list and providing monthly customer account statements to our vendors
- Supporting internal departments to meet their objectives and administration requirements
- Managing the escalation of vendors and other stakeholder queries and complaints relating to the collection of debtor payments in a timely and professional manner
- Collecting unpaid debtor invoices through contacting vendors with outstanding invoices in accordance with our policies and procedures
- Escalating matters when collection hasn’t happened within agreed timeframes
- Ensuring all relevant information is communicated effectively to administration, sales and operational staff
- Liaising with the accounts receivable team to promptly investigate and resolve unknown funds received from vendors
- Initiating legal proceedings with collections agencies where required

**ABOUT YOU**
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:

- Demonstrated experience in a similar accounts administration based role
- Experience working in a team
- Excellent internal and external communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Enjoy working in a team of specialists
