**Role Overview:**The Chemical Team at Yallourn Power Station requires a proactive and committed team member to provide support to the team’s Chemical Team Leader and Chemical Specialists. This role involves providing an Authorised Issuing Officer role for chemical plant, ensuring online chemical instrumentation is maintained and calibrated, and fault finding and rectifying issues.
**Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the regeneration of the Stations Condensate Polishing Plant’s (CPP) resins to ensure target service run times and cycle chemistry guidelines are met.
  • Provide an Authorised Issuing Officer role for chemical plant such that it can be safely isolated for maintenance.
  • Ensure online chemical instrumentation is maintained and calibrated to suppliers’ recommendations.
  • Fault finding & where practical rectifying, or, working with others internal & external to the business, to resolve any issues.
  • Provide a Dangerous Goods/hazardous materials support role to the organisation.
**Requirements:
  • A recognised qualification in Chemistry or related field (essential).
  • Similar experience gained in a Power Station or Heavy Industry environment (essential).
  • Ability to identify risks and plant defects.
  • Thorough understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices and principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible to work a rotating roster, including weekends.
