Perioperative Support Assistant

Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to work in a dynamic and fulfilling role within our perioperative team.
- Facilitating Operating Theatre setup, including equipment and operating table preparation prior to and between cases
- Positioning and transferring patients on the Operating Table
- Cleaning the Operating Theatre between cases
- Transporting patients between DSU / Theatre / PACU
- Stocking and managing linen, fluids, and other items needed for the Operating Theatres
- Removing Operating Department rubbish and used linen to the waste management area
- Organising the ordering and retrieval of VMO meals for the day
Key Responsibilities:
- Resilient individual with a good understanding of the healthcare environment, preferably related to perioperative care, or willing to develop this
- Excellent communication skills to foster a friendly environment for patients
- Sound knowledge of WH&S and physical capability to perform the role
- Commitment to safe values
- Excellent time management skills
- Adaptability to changing priorities and flexibility
- Supportive and engaging team member
About Our Hospital:
We are a 70-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 3 operating theatres located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula. We offer leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.
