Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Description

This senior mechanical engineer position presents an exciting opportunity to work on high-quality projects for leading mining clients.

The role involves developing piping system designs that meet client requirements and address reliability and risk concerns. Delivering bore headworks and pumping station design, as well as diagnosing and developing strategies to mitigate water supply network issues and improve performance, are key responsibilities.

About the Role
  • Develop a piping system design that meets client needs and addresses reliability and risk concerns.
  • Deliver bore headworks and pumping station design.
  • Diagnose and develop strategies to mitigate water supply network issues and improve performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with specific piping system design expertise.
  • A collaborative team player with strong self-motivation and ability to deliver tasks independently.
  • Ability to undertake hydraulic design in Bentley WaterGEMS and/or Fluidflow.
  • Expertise in Non-Process Infrastructure design and construction.
  • Previous experience on Iron Ore mine construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting is preferred.
