Financial Accountant Role Summary\
\

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of the Finance department, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, compliance, and forecasting.

  • Manage financial accounting activities including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and asset registers.\
  • Support compliance and reporting obligations (BAS, audits, ABS, etc.).\
  • Partner with the Senior Manager to prepare statutory financial statements.\
  • Manage intercompany, royalty, and treasury reporting.\
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and better systems.\
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.\
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.\
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.\
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.\
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve financial processes and efficiency.\
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to management and stakeholders.\
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.\
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.\
  • Recommend and implement cost-saving initiatives.\
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.\
  • Perform other duties as required.\

      \Requirements\
      • \
      • Candidate must have a strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand accounting practices.\
      • CPA/CA qualified (or working towards) with at least 2 years' experience in accounting.\
      • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.\
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.\
      • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.\
      • Audit committee experience is desirable but not essential.\
      • Experience with financial software and systems.\
      • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.\
