Financial Analyst Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation and review of financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and performing various other accounting duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with general accounting duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Support month-end close processes, including accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Monitor aged receivables, issue statements, and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely payment.
  • Reconcile and analyze sales deductions, such as rebates, promotions, discounts, and chargebacks.
  • Commission reporting.
  • Assist with preparation of BAS and GST obligations.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.

What You'll Need:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in FMCG or consumer goods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, and experience with Xero.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
