Accountant Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare month-end journals within tight deadlines
  • Review and analyse monthly financial results, identifying key variances
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Provide meaningful financial insights to internal stakeholders
  • Analyse cost centre performance and support cost control initiatives
  • Support daily and monthly bank reconciliation processes
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure depreciation accuracy and compliance
  • Assist in system improvements and finance process enhancements
  • Contribute to the annual audit, including liaison with auditors
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis and provide ongoing support
About the Ideal Candidate

A proactive finance professional with a strong technical foundation and a collaborative mindset is required. They should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable balancing operational responsibilities with strategic initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree-qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Big 4 or mid-tier audit background with commercial experience is highly regarded
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Organised, detail-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
