Service Deli Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deli Team Member to join our team at Costco Wholesale in Melbourne. As a Deli Team Member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food products, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to members, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and friendly manner.
- Food Preparation: Slice meats, cheeses, and vegetables for package sale and use in assembled products, assemble party trays, meals, pizzas, and salads, and skewer and cook chickens and ribs in a commercial rotisserie oven.
- Inventory Management: Count product on hand, figure production needs, and document production on daily forms, and restock and assemble large boxes of ingredients and supplies in the prep area.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean equipment by disassembling and spraying with cleaning and sanitizing agents, and wash and sanitize parts in a 3-compartment sink.
- Teamwork: Assist other areas in the department as necessary, and work collaboratively with team members to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Availability: Must be available to work a rotating schedule, including early mornings and evening shifts.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and members.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
