We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic PhD applicant to join our research team at Monash University. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project focused on the development of novel radiotracers for the detection of fibrosis.

About the Project

Fibrosis is a scarring process that can lead to organ malfunction and is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Current imaging techniques for fibrosis are indirect and possess substantial limitations. Our research aims to develop a molecular imaging probe for direct and sensitive detection of fibrosis during the early stages of pathology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on the development of novel radiotracers for fibrosis detection
  • Collaborate with a team of researchers to design and implement experiments
  • Contribute to the writing of research papers and presentations
Requirements
  • Applicants must have a strong background in a relevant field, such as chemistry, biology, or physics
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
