Supportive Funeral Services Professional

When working in a funeral service, it is essential to be compassionate and empathetic. This role requires a strong ability to understand and support grieving families, providing them with kindness and professionalism from the moment they arrive.
The Receptionist & Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the Funeral Consultants with administrative tasks, ensuring that families' expectations for the celebration of their loved one's life are met.
This involves greeting families with warmth and compassion, answering phone calls with sensitivity, managing appointments, and assisting with general administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will maintain a calm and professional atmosphere while working closely with the dedicated team to ensure seamless service for families.
The successful candidate will also complete administrative support tasks such as producing documentation, proofreading, and data entry, creation and processing of miscellaneous accounts, account data entry, lodgement of paperwork to government bodies, and assist with the preparation of documentation.
This position requires a kind, empathetic, and respectful demeanor, excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to remain composed and professional in emotional situations, proficiency in administrative tasks and office software, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to our community.
