Theatre Technical Support Role

Our live performances and events are looking for a skilled Theatre Technician to join our team. As a Theatre Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering successful events by providing technical expertise in lighting, audio, vision, and staging.

This is a dynamic and diverse role that requires adaptability and flexibility to accommodate the changing nature of our performances and events.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical theatre services under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Reporting any faulty equipment to the maintenance team.
  • Interpreting and executing the delivery of productions, functions, and events.
  • Participating in set-up and strike procedures for productions and events.
  • Performing various tasks such as constructing and erecting scenic elements, rigging flown elements, operating counterweight and winch fly systems, and setting up audio, lighting, and AV systems.

What We Are Looking For

We require someone with:

  • NSW Construction White Card Certification
  • Paid Working with Children's Check
  • Tertiary level certification in technical theatre or a related field (preferable)
  • Experience in operating and delivering technical theatre services for live performances and events, including lighting, sound, audio-visual, and staging
  • Proficiency in one or more technical theatre disciplines
  • Excellent customer service skills
