Our theatre technical assistant role requires someone to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Operating Theatres and Sterilising Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking a highly organised individual to collect and clean used medical devices and instruments from the Operating Theatres in accordance with AS 5369:2023.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with Operating Theatre staff to ensure sufficient instrument trays are available over weekends and after hours.
  • They will also be required to check instruments to ensure they are in working order and all trays are complete.
Requirements:
  • Able to work independently and follow verbal and simple written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and advise manager of concerns promptly.
  • Prior experience working in a hospital environment and sterilising department or operating theatre is desirable.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. You will be expected to maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to management.
