About us
We are an energy company operating across Australia, supplying millions of households and businesses with essential services every day.
Job Overview
As a Health & Safety Strategy and Risk Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of health and safety across our business, ensuring our systems, risk frameworks, and strategic initiatives are aligned and effective.
Responsibilities
You will oversee enterprise-wide health and safety risk, supporting business units in managing operational risks, and ensuring these efforts aggregate into a cohesive risk profile. You will lead the development and improvement of our HSE management system - both in structure and digital application - ensuring it remains user-friendly, certified, and fit for purpose.
A key focus will be on enhancing our digital platform (Protecht), helping to embed structured risk management practices across the business. You will monitor the execution of our H&S strategy, identify future priorities, and benchmark best practices from across the industry.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Significant experience in a senior H&S role within utilities, infrastructure, or services.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cultural change and implementing user-focused H&S systems.
- Strong knowledge of risk-based H&S systems, assurance programs, and critical risk management.
- Proven ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, from senior leaders to field workers.
- Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Environment, or a related field (preferred).
- Additional qualifications in Risk Management, Project Management, or Change Management (desired).
- A solid understanding of Australian HSE legislative frameworks.
