Job Title: Principal Maritime Structural Engineer

The Opportunity:

  • You will be involved with the design and planning activities for large scale maritime facilities for various industries, including defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability projects.
  • You will apply your existing experience across these different industries and lead the technical delivery of new and interesting projects.
  • You will be supported by other disciplines within the company and partners.

About the Role:

  • This role involves leveraging your maritime structural experience to deliver everything from concept designs through to construction phase support.
  • You will have opportunities for leadership, project management, and business development.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE IN STRUCTURAL DESIGN INCLUDING REINFORCED CONCRETE AND STEEL IN THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT IS ESSENTIAL.
  • SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE IN PORTS, HARBOURS, COASTAL WORKS, AND MARINE STRUCTURES SUCH AS WHARVES, JETTIES, PORT DEVELOPMENTS, MARINAS, SEAWALLS, PONTOONS ETC.
  • BERTHING AND MOORING SYSTEMS DESIGN EXPERTISE IS REQUIRED.
  • EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENTS, PORT CLIENTS, AND/OR THE DEFENCE SECTOR IS DESIRED.
  • A CHARLETERED PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER (CPENG) OR ABILITY TO OBTAIN CHARTERSHIP WITHIN A SPECIFIED TIMEFRAME IS NECESSARY.
  • TERTIARY DEGREE QUALIFICATIONS IN CIVIL OR STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING ARE MANDATORY.
  • ELIGIBLITY FOR AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE IS EXPECTED.
