Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer.

This role involves working on both mechanical systems and the structural integrity of plant equipment, infrastructure, and shutdown projects in the mining and resources sector.

  • Responsibilities include analysing and assessing plant equipment and structural components.
  • Designing modifications to optimise existing mechanical and structural systems.
  • Assisting in the design and coordination of new equipment installations, including load-bearing supports, platforms, and foundations.
  • Supporting shutdown planning — including developing detailed work packs, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Preparing technical specifications for tendering, reviewing supplier proposals, and supporting contract awards.
  • Collaborating with experienced engineers on troubleshooting and problem-solving for both mechanical and structural challenges.

We're looking for a graduate who:

  • Holds (or is about to complete) a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Has strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with project planning tools.
  • Has some exposure to CAD software.
  • Is eager to learn, adaptable, and ready to work in a dynamic industrial environment.
