Senior Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with a background in structural engineering to join our high-performing team.

This is a unique opportunity to work on both the mechanical systems and the structural integrity of plant equipment, infrastructure, and shutdown projects in the mining and resources sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the analysis and assessment of plant equipment and structural components.
  • Designing modifications to optimise existing mechanical and structural systems.
  • Coordinating the design and installation of new equipment, including load-bearing supports, platforms, and foundations.
  • Supporting shutdown planning — including developing detailed work packs, schedules, and estimates.
  • Preparing technical specifications for tendering, reviewing supplier proposals, and supporting contract awards.
  • Collaborating with experienced engineers on troubleshooting and problem-solving for both mechanical and structural challenges.
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering — with a strong interest in or exposure to structural engineering principles.
  • Strong leadership skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with project planning tools.
  • Exposure to CAD software (AutoCAD experience desirable).
  • Ready to take on a dynamic role in a fast-paced industrial environment.
