Technical Development Position

Launch your engineering career with hands-on experience in mechanical and structural projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse and assess plant equipment and structural components to improve system performance.
  • Design modifications to optimise existing mechanical systems and reduce costs.
  • Support the design and coordination of new equipment installations, including load-bearing supports, platforms, and foundations.
  • Develop detailed work packs, schedules, and estimates for shutdown planning and execution.
  • Prepare technical specifications for tendering, reviewing supplier proposals, and supporting contract awards.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers on troubleshooting and problem-solving for mechanical and structural challenges.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential, with a strong interest in or exposure to structural engineering principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required for success in this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with project planning tools (Microsoft Project experience is beneficial).
  • Some knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD experience is desirable).
  • Adaptability, a willingness to learn, and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic industrial environment are also essential.
