About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at Glenorchy City Council. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our financial, management, and project accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide high-quality financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making, including budget development and analysis of departmental results.
  • Commercial Analysis and Support: Conduct commercial analysis and provide support to the broader finance function to ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Financial Modelling and Budgeting: Develop and maintain complex financial models and budgets to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to identify budget opportunities and improve service delivery.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Utilize advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and recommend solutions to complex financial issues.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A Bachelor of Accounting/Finance/Commerce degree or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial finance environment.
  • Skills: Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial modelling, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience: A strong understanding of financial concepts, including accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
