About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Partner to join our team at Bizwear. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in providing strategic financial guidance and support to our business leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting
    • Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, including budget variances, forecasts, and performance metrics.
    • Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for department heads and senior management.
    • Interpret financial results and provide actionable recommendations to drive performance improvement.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Collaborate with departmental leaders to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
    • Monitor budgetary performance throughout the year, identifying areas for cost optimization or revenue enhancement.
    • Update forecasts based on changes in market conditions, business strategy, or other relevant factors.
  • Strategic Planning and Decision Support
    • Participate in strategic planning initiatives, providing financial insights and scenario analysis to support decision-making.
    • Evaluate tender proposals, assessing their financial feasibility and potential impact on overall performance.
    • Advise on pricing strategies, product profitability, and resource allocation to maximize return on investment.
  • Business Acquisition Evaluation
    • Lead financial due diligence for potential business acquisitions, analysing financial statements, cash flow, and other key financial metrics.
    • Develop financial models to assess the value, risks, and potential returns of acquisition targets.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, tax, and operational teams, to ensure comprehensive evaluation of acquisition opportunities.
    • Provide recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis, highlighting potential synergies, integration challenges, and strategic fit with organizational goals.
  • Business Partnering and Relationship Management
    • Build strong relationships with departmental stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor on financial matters.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, or revenue generation.
    • Facilitate communication between finance and other departments, ensuring alignment of financial goals with broader organizational objectives.
  • Risk Management and Compliance
    • Assess financial risks and compliance requirements associated with business initiatives or operational changes.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization's financial health and regulatory compliance.
    • Stay informed about relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • ERP Implementation
    • Partner with IT and finance teams to support the implementation of ERP systems, ensuring alignment with financial reporting and operational requirements.
    • Assist in defining financial processes and controls within the ERP system to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
    • Participate in the development and execution of ERP training programs for finance and non-finance users.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot ERP system issues post-implementation, working closely with stakeholders to refine processes and improve system functionality.
  • Leadership
    • A member of the Finance LT to provide leadership and drive culture within the Finance team.
    • Drive collaboration across the business; undertake peer reviews and provide constructive feedback on project deliverables.
