Medical Officer Roster and Allocation SpecialistAbout the Role

The purpose of this role is to provide and manage effective term allocations, rosters and annual leave for Resident Medical Officers. This involves ensuring efficient allocation of Resident Medical Officers in conjunction with Managers of Medical Workforce and Medical Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing a career and service-focused rostering and allocations model for Resident Medical Officers.
  • Providing human resource management services including management and allocation of leave requests.
  • Negotiating with Resident Medical Officers regarding rostering enquiries and requests.

Quality Improvement Focus:

  • Preparing roster and allocation analytics focusing on after hours and annual separation trends.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining databases and rostering spreadsheets.
  • Participating in new Resident Medical Officer/facility orientation.
