Job Description

As a Commercial Leader, you will be responsible for driving the commercial success of our business divisions in Discovery and Genomic Medicine. This includes developing and deploying strategies, mentoring and leading cross-functional teams, and engaging with customers across Australia and New Zealand.

The Discovery Commercial Team supports customers in accelerating research and discovery of biotherapeutics, addressing needs in lab filtration, separation and purification, biomolecular analysis, identification and characterization, protein research, and diagnostics.

The Genomic Medicine Commercial Team focuses on supporting customers from research to clinical and commercial manufacturing of Advanced Therapeutics, including Cell Therapy, Viral Vectors, Nanomedicine, and Nucleic Acids.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee financial reporting and demand planning for both the Discovery and Genomic Medicine business divisions
  • Drive the growth and expansion of direct and indirect sales revenues and profit margins
  • Understand and analyse market and competitive dynamics; develop commercial strategies and plans that capitalize on growth opportunities
  • Develop and execute a new customer acquisition strategy
  • Attract, retain, coach, and develop world-class commercial and technical talent to execute the product commercial strategy
  • Build and manage professional relationships with key customers in biotech, translational medicine, and academia to ensure a deep understanding of their needs
  • Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Product Management to ensure the successful launch of new products
  • Secure support from internal functional teams (e.g., Customer Service, Commercial Partners, Instrument Service) and collaborate with the Bioprocess business divisions team to grow the business
