Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled site operations manager to lead onsite operations, monitoring the delivery, installation, commissioning, and integration of advanced energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise electrical commissioning teams for efficient and smooth operations.
  • Oversee installation of electrical systems, including battery storage units and power conversion systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimise downtime.
  • Manage electrical sub-contractors and internal commissioning engineers, ensuring they comply with site and company policies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to onsite teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration.
  • Attend meetings and relay information to site staff, sub-contractors, and management.
  • Daily reporting of all site activities to management.
  • Project tracking to ensure project schedule is met.
  • Oversee maintenance activities for optimal performance of electrical systems.
  • Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to reduce system failures and extend equipment lifespan.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Educated in Electrical Engineering or possess an equivalent electrical trade qualification.
  • Proven experience in electrical supervision, preferably in renewable energy or battery storage.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical standards, safety standards, and renewable energy systems.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance principles and reporting systems.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
