Research Fellow Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to contribute to our team of mathematicians.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing advanced numerical methods for multiphysics PDEs, working closely with Professor Santiago Badia and Professor Ricardo Ruiz Baier.

  • Develop novel numerical discretizations for complex PDE systems emphasizing mathematical and computational aspects;
  • Collaborate with senior researchers on research projects focusing on nonlinear, multiphysics, and multiscale PDE modeling;
  • Disseminate results through high-quality research articles and technical presentations;

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in finite element analysis and computational models. Knowledge of biomedical applications is desirable but not essential.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a strong background in numerical analysis of PDEs using finite element methods and expertise in implementing efficient algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cutting-edge research in the field of multiphysics PDE modeling;
  • Develop and implement novel numerical methods for solving complex PDE systems;
  • Present research findings at international conferences and workshops;

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Strong theoretical background in numerical approximation of PDEs using finite element methods;
  • Excellent programming skills and experience with algorithm implementation.
