Job Title: Nursing Coordinator for Organ Donation

The Alfred Health is a leading healthcare provider seeking an experienced nursing coordinator to facilitate organ and tissue donation. The successful candidate will implement best practices, provide education strategies, and support the Donate Life death audit.

About the Job

This role is responsible for ensuring seamless organ and tissue donation processes, providing expert guidance on implementation and auditing of best practices, and fostering partnerships with stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced negotiation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to empathize with bereaved families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective organ and tissue donation strategies
  • Provide education and training to staff on donation procedures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement
  • Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to organ and tissue donation
Requirements:
  • Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
  • Postgraduate qualifications in critical care or a relevant specialty
  • Extensive experience in senior nursing leadership positions within a hospital setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and resolve complex problems
