About the Role

The Mobile Maintenance Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining our fleet of heavy equipment. This involves ensuring safe work practices, executing weekly maintenance plans, and prioritizing equipment to maintain high machine availability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety compliance by promoting and demonstrating safe work practices for all tasks;
  • Be accountable for the execution of the weekly plan for mobile maintenance activities;
  • Assist with the development of the weekly plan and schedule of mobile maintenance activities and fleet maintenance;
  • Prioritise equipment and organise personnel effectively to ensure workshop efficiency;
  • Facilitate daily and weekly workforce meetings;
  • Oversee maintenance contractors, monitoring compliance to contract obligations and workshop/site safety standards;
  • Have an understanding of OEM contractual processes;
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to mobile maintenance personnel;
  • Identify manning requirements through the labour budgeting process;
  • Manage the performance of direct reports through the setting of KPIs, training and development opportunities, succession plans and appropriate performance management;
  • Direct Team Leads and Maintenance Planners on job estimations and work orders whilst ensuring compliance with company systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Trade qualified mobile plant fitter - Heavy;
  • Supervisory experience in the maintenance field of an operational mine;
  • National Police Clearance;
  • Solid experience managing employee relations; leadership coaching, technical coaching, managing personnel against KPI's and company values;
  • Experience with field service repairs, preventative maintenance and fault diagnostics;
  • Ability to understand and interpret OEM manuals and schematics;
  • Product knowledge of CAT equipment;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Ability to communicate clearly with staff on all levels;
  • Willingness to improve and add knowledge to the team through mentoring and support of the crew;
  • Strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures.
