Job Title: Academic Leader

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mathematics Teacher to join our school community.

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and learning, with the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

The classroom teacher plays a vital role in assisting the school to improve student performance and educational outcomes. This includes contributing to the development and implementation of school policies and priorities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons to students;
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly;
  • Develop and implement curriculum programs that cater to diverse learning needs;
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessment results;
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other school events;
  • Contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives;
  • Engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, including numeracy skills;
  • Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs;
  • Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values;
  • Demonstrated experience in reflecting upon practice and engaging in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
