The Head of Faculty is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and maintaining a clear vision for the mathematics faculty.
About the RoleThis position involves fostering professional development and guiding staff to achieve excellence in teaching practices. A collaborative leader will share knowledge of contemporary pedagogies and enjoy working with a team.
About You- Demonstrate strategic leadership capabilities and understanding of educational issues and innovative approaches related to the faculty and school context.
- Develop and sustain strong interpersonal relationships and establish productive partnerships.
- Show high-level administrative and organisational skills.
- Engage in challenging conversations and resolve issues proactively.
- Hold relevant teaching qualifications and be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- Have a postgraduate qualification in educational leadership or similar.
- Proven success as a secondary educator with extensive knowledge in educational theory and practice, and considerable experience working in a school environment.
- Show robust knowledge of adolescent boys and curricular design's impact on motivation and performance.
- Demonstrate capacity to work as a senior team member achieving strategic outcomes in teaching and learning.
- Show educational leadership and developing a culture of learning excellence.
- Demonstrate knowledge of classroom pedagogies for engaging and nurturing boys within a rigorous curriculum integrating technology.
Teachers participate in and support student well-rounded experiences encompassing curriculum, co-curricular, and pastoral care, including sporting programs through coaching and managing teams.
