Wash Line Operator Job Description

Circular Plastics Australia has created a truly circular economy by giving used plastic bottles and containers a new life.

Our facilities enable plastic waste to be recycled locally and made into new bottles and packaging, rather than ending up in landfill.

This role involves operating and maintaining wash line process machinery to process plastic waste into washed flakes.

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the production process runs smoothly, meeting quality standards and adhering to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating and monitoring the wash line process machinery to ensure efficient processing of materials.
  • Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of the wash line equipment to prevent downtime.
  • Ensuring that the washed plastic flakes meet the required quality standards by conducting regular inspections and using testing equipment.
  • Moving bags of product and waste bins with an electric pallet jack or similar.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintaining accurate production records and reporting any issues or discrepancies to the Shift Lead.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in a manufacturing environment.
  • A strong safety mindset and willingness to speak up.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and the capability for manual duties including moderate to heavy lifting.
  • SCADA experience is an advantage.
