About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our Clients and Markets team as a Business Development Associate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the firm's Project Practice Stream and working closely with other clients and markets managers and advisers.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the relevant practice managers to identify, pursue and convert opportunities, cross-practice group initiatives
- Collaborating with relevant internal stakeholders to develop and manage client relationships
- Assisting with market analysis and related research
- Assisting with the management of, and drafting of tenders and bid opportunities
- Supporting with the development of firm directory and award submissions
- Supporting and participating in various C&M firm wide projects and initiatives as required
- Developing a profile and credibility with internal clients (i.e. lawyers and other employees).
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- 1-2+ years in a similar role in business development or related experience (ideally in a professional services/corporate environment) or demonstrated transferrable experience in professional service environment
- Tertiary qualification in a business-related discipline, marketing, communications or law highly regarded
- A collaborator and connector with an ability to build relationships across all levels
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and oral with strong attention to detail
- Highly disciplined with the ability to prioritise and manage a range of complex tasks in a deadline driven environment
- The ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels
- Technical skills in Microsoft Office and a sound understanding of databases.
About the Team
The Clients and Markets team provides advice and services to the business across the full spectrum of marketing and business development - from brand awareness and design, media and communications, events, research and analysis, opportunity identification, pursuits and bid management to key client account management.
