About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer or Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team at Complexica, an award-winning Australian AI technology company. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing cutting-edge Machine Learning and Data Science solutions to help businesses optimize their sales, marketing, and supply chain decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced Machine Learning and Data Science solutions to drive business outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful predictive models and drive business growth
  • Stay current with the latest Machine Learning advancements and best practices
  • Produce high-quality, scalable code for research and commercial deployment
  • Work effectively with large datasets and throughout the Machine Learning lifecycle
  • Advise on innovative methodologies and tools to drive business success
Additional Responsibilities (Senior Role)
  • Lead and mentor junior Machine Learning team members, sharing expertise and guidance
  • Take ownership of complex problems, driving solutions and business outcomes
  • Build strong client relationships and communicate complex ideas clearly
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field
  • 2-3+ years of commercial experience in Machine Learning
  • Expertise in Machine Learning algorithms, model building, and popular Machine Learning packages (and languages and systems such as Python, R, Java)
  • Experience with large databases and data visualization
  • Familiarity with other AI technologies (e.g., Knowledge Engineering, Planning and Scheduling, Distributed AI and Multi-agent systems)
Additional Requirements (Senior Role)
  • 6-10+ years of commercial experience in Machine Learning
  • Proficiency in stakeholder management and project delivery
  • Proven track record in delivering complex Machine Learning initiatives with defined scope and outcomes
  • Strong research background, preferably with scientific publications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
