We are seeking a skilled Delivery Manager - Engineering to lead the delivery of cutting-edge IT solutions and drive innovation across our platforms at Coles. As a key member of our Technology team, you will contribute to the IT Strategy and roadmap for emerging technologies, providing thought leadership and managing program delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. IT Strategy & Roadmap: Contribute to the development and execution of the IT Strategy, focusing on emerging technologies like AI, computer vision, edge, and IoT.
  2. Program Delivery: Lead the delivery of tech spikes, prototypes, and MVP solutions, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  3. Innovation Platforms: Oversee the development and operation of innovation platforms, setting standards and maximizing value delivery.
  4. Team Leadership: Manage a team of 10-20 people, developing their capabilities in line with our company values.
  5. Vendor Management: Lead vendor engagements and drive procurement decisions, ensuring third-party services meet our high standards.
  6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to prioritize and schedule project pipelines.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  1. Proven experience in scoping, building, and delivering new solutions such as innovative PoCs and MVPs.
  2. Domain knowledge in emerging technologies (e.g., AI, computer vision, edge & IoT).
  3. Experience in IT strategy delivery and agile project management.
  4. Strong background in managing large teams and complex projects.
  5. Expertise in design thinking, DevOps, and innovation frameworks.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  7. Graduate degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science or similar; a Master's degree in Business is preferred.
  8. Previous experience in data engineering, data science or machine learning preferred.
