Governance Risk Leader

The successful candidate will lead governance, legal and risk functions for a modern, community-focused Council, driving effective and transparent decision-making across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include maintaining governance frameworks, managing internal audit and providing legal oversight. Additionally, the candidate will lead policy review, delegations, insurance oversight, councillor support and elections coordination.
Requirements:We are looking for an individual who holds tertiary qualifications in governance/business or has extensive relevant local government experience. The ideal candidate should have proven skills in governance, investigations, GIPA, Public Interest Disclosures, risk and insurance, and strong communication. A practical leader who can manage budgets/staff and hold a Class C driver's licence is essential.
