Senior Governance Director

The Governance Director is responsible for leading the Council's governance, legal and risk functions.
Main Responsibilities:- Maintain frameworks, manage internal audit and provide oversight.
- Lead policy review, delegations, insurance oversight, councillor support and elections coordination.
- Provide strategic advice to senior management, manage resources and deliver training.
We are seeking a candidate with tertiary qualifications in governance or extensive relevant local government experience. Proven skills in governance, investigations, transparency, risk and insurance are essential. A practical leader who meets statutory timeframes, manages staff and holds a driver's licence is required.
