Electrical Design Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of electrical systems for high voltage and medium voltage substations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical design and engineering, specifically in the field of HV & MV substations. A strong understanding of Australian standards (AS/NZS) and regulatory requirements is essential.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and engineering AIS & GIS substations up to 400kV, as well as auxiliary LVAC and LVDC systems. You will also prepare cable schedules, single line diagrams, protection one line diagrams, layouts, earthing, lightning, cabling design calculations and drawings.

Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet or exceed industry standards and company expectations. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential for this role.

A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferable, but not mandatory. In-depth exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is an added advantage.
