Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Specialist Trainee to join our dynamic team at Northern Beaches Hospital. The successful candidate will assist in the provision of high-quality anaesthetic services in the Interventional Suite, Labour ward, and Radiology Department.

The Clinical Specialist Trainee will participate in Preadmission Clinics, Acute Pain Service, and Clinical Emergency Response Service (CERS). They will work under the supervision of senior medical staff to ensure their responsibilities align with their clinical experience and comply with ANZCA guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner for a minimum of two years, with progress towards career goals in Anaesthetics or Critical Care.
  • A minimum of one year's experience in Anaesthetics.
  • Clinical competency and the ability to work independently within a complex clinical environment, utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment, and expertise.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, risk management, and knowledge of legal and ethical obligations governing medical practice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and problem-solving skills in a clinical setting as part of a multidisciplinary team.
