We are seeking a high-calibre People Advisor to join our Operational People team.
This role involves partnering with people leaders on all aspects of the employment life cycle, including general People policy/legislation, payroll enquiries, Performance Management, compensation/remuneration, and terminations.
The successful candidate will manage the resolution of People inquiries and issues within the respective state workforce and across a broader client group, as needed.
A significant aspect of this role is supporting management with workplace relations.
About the Role- Coach and support leaders on people issues and processes, including performance management, compensation, and terminations.
- Assist with managing grievances and conducting procedurally fair investigations, and work with leaders to develop corrective actions where appropriate.
- Support the People Team in the provision of People services and initiatives.
- Implement key People organisational initiatives and projects, including annual performance reviews.
- Provide advice and interpretation of legislation and industrial instruments to leadership, employees, and payroll as required.

You will have:
- At least 2 years of experience as an HR team member, ideally in a generalist capacity in an industrial/unionised environment.
- Base-level knowledge of relevant state and federal legislation.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills.
- Sound negotiating and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated collaborative nature and a team player.
- Excellent verbal, listening, written, and communication skills.
- Strong ethical credibility and integrity.
- Attention to detail.
- Diploma level qualification in HR (or similar).
