As a Career Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals to overcome career challenges and achieve their employment goals. You will work closely with participants to understand their needs, identify strengths, and develop personalized action plans.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one coaching sessions to assess career needs and create tailored plans.
  • Conduct career assessments and help clients identify their values, interests, and strengths to inform employment goals.
  • Cultivate partnerships with community organizations to create job opportunities for participants.
  • Assist participants in developing effective job search strategies, including resume writing and interview preparation.
  • Refer participants to relevant training, counseling, and services to enhance long-term employment outcomes.
  • Evaluate compliance requirements and ensure adherence.

About You:

  • Experience in customer service, client-facing roles, or administration.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct client assessments, develop case plans, and write reports.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills, with the capacity to find innovative solutions.
  • Ability to build relationships with employers and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in computer software.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to undergo a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
