Job Description:

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or elderly people in their daily lives.

\

The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering person-centred active support, domestic assistance, and social activities that promote independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in person-centred active support in personal care, domestic assistance, and social activities for clients.
  • Develop and implement engaging programs and assist the client with access to the community.
  • Utilise your personal experience to provide emotional support, inspire, listen, and connect to help disabilities and elderly people navigate challenges.
  • Collaborate with our team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Adapt service delivery and support as appropriate to meet participant needs and goals while following the support plan in place.
  • Promote and assist Clients to live an active, healthy, and positive lifestyle.
  • Follow all organisational policies, regulations, and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working as a Support Worker or similar is preferred.
  • Current valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Available time rostered shift 2 hours per shift, 2 - 3 days per week.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • High level of time management and organisational ability.
  • Certificate III and above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Community Service or Disability will be an advantage.
  • Satisfactory Australian National Police check, Working with Children Check, NDIS worker screening check or willing to obtain these documents.
  • Current or willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate.
