Job Title: Security Governance Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill this newly created role. The position will focus on developing and implementing security standards, facilitating effective communication with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to create and maintain accurate documents. Furthermore, they must be able to interpret and implement relevant aviation security legislation and regulations.

This critical role involves:

  • Maintaining the Transport Security Program (TSP) by mapping, version controlling, and ensuring accuracy in relation to regulations.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop, update, or establish security policies.
  • Accounting for all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions necessary for compliance with Australian Transport Security Regulations, Aviation Screening Notices, and the Australian Transport Security Act.
  • Identifying timely security alerts, producing, distributing, and maintaining a register of these alerts.

To be successful in this position, candidates should hold a tertiary qualification in Aviation, Security, or a related field, have at least 5 years' experience in aviation, security, operations, or compliance, and demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
