We are seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for a full range of account receivable duties.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate tracking of account progress, efficient completion of assigned tasks, processing and monitoring incoming payments, customer collections, and securing revenue by verifying and posting of receipts.

  • You will report directly to the Controller and work closely with Sales teams.
  • Your responsibilities will include entire Accounts Receivable process, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
  • You will process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • You will prepare and submit bank deposits electronically.
  • You will verify discrepancies and resolve client's billing issues.
  • You will facilitate payment of past due invoices using reminders, statements, and calls to customers for collection of outstanding funds.
  • You will generate reports detailing accounts receivable status and send to Management, including Sales.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Communicating via telephone and email with customer accounts to attain payment for billed goods.
  • Maintaining documented progress on each account.
  • Working with Controller and associates for timely monthly closings and verifying accuracy of accounting transactions and data.
  • Maintaining various internal accounting reports and financial controls.
