About This Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee our volunteer program, ensuring the success and satisfaction of our volunteers.

This role is critical in developing, managing, and enhancing our volunteering programme, which plays a vital part in our organisation's mission.

The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing recruitment, training, and ongoing support of volunteers, as well as implementing strategies to improve retention and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Volunteer Management: Oversee the recruitment, training, and ongoing support of volunteers to ensure they have a positive experience.
  • Engagement Strategies: Implement effective strategies to improve volunteer retention and satisfaction, ensuring our volunteers feel valued and engaged.
  • Team Development: Facilitate professional development and mentoring opportunities for volunteers, helping them grow and succeed in their roles.
  • Expert Advice: Provide expert advice to local teams on volunteer engagement and best practices, ensuring consistency and excellence across our organisation.
  • Workforce Planning: Develop and evaluate volunteer service workforce plans to enhance service delivery and impact, ensuring we make the most of our volunteer resources.
About You
  • You have a passion for working with volunteers and a commitment to making a difference in your community.
  • You have experience in volunteer coordination or program management in healthcare, aged care, or community services.
  • You possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team, as well as effectively work with other staff.
  • You have high-level administrative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, and Database Management.
  • You have strong conflict resolution skills and a passion for working in aged care or health.
  • You are empathic and compassionate, with a strong understanding of volunteer management principles, compliance, and risk management.
