Senior Environmental Planner Position

Mott MacDonald is a leading global consultancy providing engineering, management, and development services. Our Environment and Society team in Victoria has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental Planner to join our team in Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Contribute to the successful delivery of environmental approvals projects, reporting, planning approvals, impact assessments, and related technical studies. Provide construction environmental management for large infrastructure projects and technical support for projects regarding environmental compliance and management.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the environment team. Manage and/or liaise with environment consultants and other planning consultants to ensure project success. Collaborate with experts across larger projects and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years experience in environment and planning approvals in Victoria with strong connections in consulting.
  • Able to influence and develop strong relationships with clients in providing environment and sustainability strategy for major infrastructure projects.
  • Diverse background and experience in delivering high-value projects across environment and planning.
  • Tertiary qualifications in science/engineering/planning.
  • In-depth understanding of Victorian and Commonwealth environment and planning legislation.
  • Experience in environmental management, approvals, impact assessments, risk assessments, and project management or coordination.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment.
