We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as Deputy Director General. In this critical role, you will provide strategic direction and leadership for the Building, Energy Safety and Service Delivery Group.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a strong understanding of strategic customer service delivery, and experience in setting and monitoring technical standards for building and plumbing services, electricity and gas networks, and consumer installations.
This is a five-year fixed-term opportunity with an attractive remuneration package. You will be responsible for driving strategic direction, championing initiatives, and prioritizing the safety of the WA community.
You will also provide high-level advice to the Minister, Director General, and Executive Leadership Group, and actively promote strategies, policies, and systems that provide strategic direction to the group, department, and state.
Your responsibilities will include providing executive-level oversight, clear accountability, and delivering LGIRS' strategies, promoting the coordination and integration of efficient and effective corporate systems to achieve corporate objectives and outcomes.
You will formulate short- to long-term strategic and operational plans and related outcomes, and efficiently and effectively allocate and use resources within the Group to achieve outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate your ability to work collaboratively with government, industry, and community stakeholders, and to drive change and improvement through innovative thinking and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-level strategic direction and professional leadership
- Provide executive-level oversight, clear accountability, and deliver LGIRS' strategies
- Promote the coordination and integration of efficient and effective corporate systems to achieve corporate objectives and outcomes
