Portfolio Management Role Overview

This position is responsible for guiding the performance and strategic direction of a key Commercial Insurance portfolio.

  • Lead the analysis of portfolio performance using data sources such as internal reports, COGNOS, and industry research to identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop clear proposals for portfolio improvements, including tactical and strategic pricing changes.
  2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align initiatives with business objectives.
  3. Engage with external stakeholders to enhance platform performance and broker connectivity.
  4. Deliver and monitor initiatives that drive profitability and ensure benefits are realised and sustained.
  5. Communicate complex analytics to non-technical audiences through compelling data stories.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in General Insurance, preferably with an actuarial and/or analytics background.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Analytics, or Actuarial Science (desirable).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Proficiency in Tableau, COGNOS, and other business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling capabilities.
  • Commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.
