About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Manager to lead the design, delivery and optimisation of our BI solutions.

You will oversee the development of ELT pipelines, implementation of ETL components and delivery of scalable, high-performance data intelligence solutions. Your leadership will ensure our BI capabilities drive actionable insights, enhance business decision-making and improve automation across the organisation.

This role requires strong technical expertise in the Microsoft BI stack, proven experience managing BI projects end-to-end and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across finance, operations and technology.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development and optimisation of ELT pipelines for the data warehouse to ingest and transform data for batch and real-time workloads.
- Oversee the delivery of accurate, timely and reliable reporting in partnership with the finance team to ensure data integrity for financial statements.
- Manage and maintain a robust reporting framework with effective data visualisation and dashboards for business users.
- Translate business requirements into actionable BI solutions using Power BI, ensuring data models deliver relevant and meaningful insights.
- Direct the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the organisation's Business Intelligence strategy and capabilities.
- Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of reporting within the Microsoft BI Stack to meet evolving business needs.
- Ensure production-ready code is delivered for data pipelines, manifests and DSLs in line with best practices.
- Guide the creation of optimised SQL queries, functions and stored procedures for ETL, data mining and reporting purposes.
- Champion a cloud-first architecture to maximise scalability and minimise infrastructure costs.
- Provide technical and strategic oversight for Power BI development, including DAX queries and functions.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of SDLC and familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Proven leadership experience in business intelligence and/or data engineering teams.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft BI Tools: SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI and SQL Server, including strong DAX skills.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing methodologies and best practices.
- Ability to present data and insights clearly for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience leading BI development to automate processes and create tactical solutions that improve efficiency.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in complex financial domain environments.
