Industry Engagement Opportunity

This is a pivotal role that ensures seamless collaboration and engagement between various stakeholders to achieve desired objectives and promote local business participation in procurement processes.

The Industry Engagement Manager will develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that foster relationships with Defence communities across all regions, and liaise with external contractors.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and facilitating meetings, workshops, and events promoting engagement and collaboration.
  • Developing and implementing procurement and Indigenous engagement strategies.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with external contractors to ensure alignment with desired objectives.
  • Engaging with Defence communities across all regions to understand and address needs and concerns.
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations in relation to procurement and Indigenous engagement.
  • Monitoring and reporting on progression of engagement activities and their impact on project outcomes.
About You

We are seeking an individual with:

  • At least 5 years' experience in industry engagement, procurement, or project management, preferably within the defence sector.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and organisations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong understanding of procurement strategies, processes, and regulations.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field is highly desirable.
