Job Summary

The role of an Internal Auditor involves overseeing and evaluating the effectiveness of our organization's governance, risk management, and internal control processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing systematic and disciplined approaches to improve our overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing Risk and Control Matrices (RACMs) to identify associated risks and controls in line with Agency Internal Audit methodology.
  • Conducting assurance assessments by interviewing stakeholders, collecting evidence, and examining it against agreed engagement criteria in line with IA methodology.
  • Documenting evidential observations, linking them to assessment objectives, and contributing to the preparation of audit reports outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Evaluating sufficiency of evidence to close issues in line with IA methodology.

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills and ability to negotiate with various stakeholders.
  • Experience developing RACMs and critical thinking skills to navigate complex projects.
  • Professional membership with IIA, CA, or CPA, or progression towards.
  • Disability or Government sector experience highly advantageous.
  • Australian citizenship required for this position.
