Academic Support Specialist

Our ideal candidate is a highly skilled and experienced Academic Tutor looking for a challenging opportunity to provide academic support to students in their homes.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting tutoring sessions with students, traveling to their homes as needed.

As an Academic Support Specialist, you will work independently, utilizing your expertise and experience to create personalized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to adapt to different learning styles will enable you to effectively engage with students and their parents, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes academic growth and development.

  • You must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as you may need to travel to various locations to conduct tutoring sessions.
  • Be available on some weekday afternoons or weekends, depending on the schedule of the students you are working with.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish trust and build rapport with students and parents from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate patience, positivity, and strong interpersonal skills while interacting with students and parents.
