About the Role:

The Reform Manager spearheads a team responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing initiatives to reform healthcare systems. They foster strong relationships with diverse stakeholders representing various viewpoints.

This role provides the opportunity to engage with multiple stakeholders and drive lasting reforms in the healthcare sector. The manager will lead team members, collaborate with partners to coordinate advice on strategic policy issues, and develop implementable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Builds a cohesive team by demonstrating personal conviction, translating organisational strategy into meaningful plans, and motivating others to deliver against goals.
  • People Management: Aligns the team with organisational values and goals through effective people management and modelling; maximises effectiveness by selecting, developing, managing, and motivating a high-performing team.
  • Policy Skills: Formulates and communicates public policy options and recommendations; keeps up-to-date with contemporary issues; scans for links and potential implications of proposed policy options; liaises with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in health, public policy, business, and/or management or health administration.
  • Significant knowledge and experience in government, health sector, and/or health service delivery, with skills and experience in policy/project management and implementation.
