Job Role: Subcontract Formation and Management

This role involves the administration of less complex subcontracts in accordance with established project procedures and corporate guidelines.

The successful candidate will support the overall subcontracting strategy through effective coordination, negotiation, and contract execution.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Subcontract Formation
    • Bidder lists are prepared and maintained; supplier prequalification is conducted.
    • Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages are developed and issued to qualified bidders.
    • Clarifications are managed during the bid process.
    • Pre-bid meetings are coordinated.
    • Bids are evaluated commercially.
    • Award recommendations are prepared.
    • Negotiations are led or supported for assigned packages.
  • Subcontract Management
    • Implementation of subcontract management tasks is carried out as per Supply Chain Assignment Schedule and applicable Standard Work Process Procedures.
    • Ongoing oversight of assigned subcontract performance is maintained.
    • Internal stakeholders are coordinated to manage operational activities impacting subcontractor obligations and performance.
    • Negotiation and processing of subcontract changes of low to moderate complexity are undertaken.
    • Status reports, meeting notes, and performance summaries are prepared.
    • Subcontractor claims are resolved and closeout processes facilitated.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
  • 5-8 years' experience in subcontract formation and/or administration, or 9-12 years' relevant professional work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or EPC projects is preferred.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of subcontract formation and administration principles.
  • Ability to develop RFQ packages and manage bid evaluations.
  • Contract negotiation skills, including commercial terms and conditions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with digital supply chain tools and data systems.
